Wifi Instability with Networks rebooting consistently

Hallo,

out Wifi is currently very instable and the wifi is not available for a few moments. After the few moments the wifi is again available.We have 2 Network Device ( Wifi SSIDs namely 'intern' -> wlan1 and 'gäste' -> wlan0

Hardware: Sophos UTM Sg 125 Firewall

AcessPoints: 1x AP55 and 2x AP55C (total 3 AP at one location)

As you can see in the log, the networkdevices wlan1 and wlan0 changes status to down and then disabled. This happens on all the AP present at the location.

I would aprreciate if anyone could explain why this is happening? I cannot understand where the problem is.

    Hello Sidd,

    which version of UTM are you running (9.7.x ?), please give exact version.

    The failing AP are the AP55c ones? We had a series of AP55c with lots of hardware/frimware related problems and had them all replaced by Sophos without trouble.

    I remember there has been a series of AP which had this problem, but I can't find the serial number range to which this was happening.

    Second thing that comes to my mind: there was a change in firmware that is downloaded to the APs when connected to a SG-UTM. If this new "unified firmware" was dwonloaded at a certain firmware level, then the AP got bricked. So let's check your firmware level of the SG-UTM first.

    Hi Philipp,

    The Firmware Version on the Sg-125 is 9.705-3.

    Both the AP55 and the AP55C are reporting this issue.

    I do recollect that after a firmware update on the sg-125 a couple of months ago the AP issued the same problem. A manual restart solved the issue at that time but not now.

    Test if possible to avoid the umlaut ä in Gäste WiFi and remove this SSID from one of the AP55c. Check if this AP is then stable.

    Are you using WLA2 Enterprise and assign VLANs to the WiFi devices?
