Managing Device Access, Physical access problem

All my devices such as UTM, switches and wifi APs are on management vlans on L2 switches with addresses in the management subnet.  All the tagging is on switches and I have not created any vlans on the UTM.

I have been advised earlier that for security reasons it is good practice not to enable and wifi access to the management subnet so when needed I plug a patch cable between the UTM management port and the vlan management port on the switch.  My problem is that for long periods in future I may not have physical access to the UTM so using a cable is not practicable.  What is correct way to resolve this please.

A supplementary problem related to this is that when I try and set the management port address to a vlan the switch refuses this setting as it will lose in-band connectivity.  How do I set the switch with a vlan to start with?
