SSL VPN download has disappeared

I used to be able to download the SSL VPN client from the user portal.  Now that option has suddenly disappeared.

I am on UTM 9.351-3.

I don't know exactly when it disappeared.

Now, the remaining options are "Welcome", "Client Authentication", "Web Filtering", "Log out".

Note: "hide remote access" is NOT checked.

  • "because I just tried and failed to turn it off" What is "it"? User Portal, Automatic User Creation, or the SSL VPN Profile? I'm assuming the second choice. Go to Authentication Services > Global Settings, turn off create users automatically. What this feature does, is create an account on the UTM if a person successfully authenticates, but an account doesn't already exist. Useful, so that IT doesn't have to set everybody up, but can cause issues. I'm guessing that you logged in as phil once, successfully authenticated via backend to AD, since Windows usernames are not case sensitive, and the UTM created the account. User Portal requires an account on the UTM for the user, due to some of the information being stored in a backend profile. Depending on you environment, needs, and the number of users, you may want to prefetch directory users.
