Access to SMTP logs of different mailbox

Hi there,

We're using a Sophos Firewall (UTM 9.5) with Mail Protection enabled, the users have access to the SMTP log via the user portal.

Is it possible to somehow enable them to see the log files of shared mailboxes they have permission to access within Outlook to check the rejected mails?

Kind regards

  • Hi Kere and welcome to the UTM Community!

You can't give every user in a mailing list the ability to see the SMTP log, but you can give it to one user.  Say you have a mailing list named info@yourdomain.com and that you are a member.  Edit the user "kere" and add info@yourdomain.com in 'Additional email addresses'.  Now when you open the User Portal, emails to info@yourdomain.com will be included along with yours.  In order to just see the ones for info, put info@yourdomain.com into the filter box.  Not perfect, but at least you have a way to let one person in each list be responsible for alerting you to incorrect rejections.

You also should use Lukas' suggestion - just put info@yourdomain.com into 'Internal Mailing Lists' on the 'Exceptions' tab.

    Cheers - Bob
