How to block "Out Of Office" notifications for specific SMTP address

We have a specific support address for our company (e.g. "support@company.com") which receives and sends many mails to our customers.

The mails are processed as tickets within a ticket system.

Our problem ist that there are many OoO (Out of Office) replies from customers which are flooding our ticket system.

 

Now the question is.: Is there a way to block most of the OoO message with Sophos Antispam and if possible for a specific SMTP address only?

  • Are you certain that your ticketing system doesn't have a way to manage this, Joe?  I don't think there's a way to do this with the SMTP Proxy for just one address.

  • Are you certain that your ticketing system doesn't have a way to manage this, Joe?  I don't think there's a way to do this with the SMTP Proxy for just one address.

  • Yes unfortunately the ticket system cannot handle out of office message.
    Then is there a way to do this globally in our environment?

  • I just got an OoO message yesterday, and it had Automatic Reply in the subject field.  You could add that to the list of Expressions on the 'Antispam' tab and force such emails into the Quarantine.  It also contained out of the office in the message text, so I would add that also.
