inbound emails bouncing from only one domain

We are using the Sophos UTM to filter emails to and from our Office365 accounts but emails inbound from one domain (paypal !!!) keep bouncing. The are the generic emails to notify us of a payment etc.

in the log we can see:

2017:02:20-11:56:07 gw1 exim-out[22881]: 2017-02-20 11:56:07 1cfmZU-0005x0-4T ** ebay@domain.org.uk P=<service@paypal.co.uk> R=static_route_hostlist T=static_smtp: SMTP error from remote mail server after end of data: host 213.199.180.170 [213.199.180.170]: 550 5.1.8 Access denied, bad outbound sender AS(41000001)

Any ideas of where I should start looking as all other mail is flowing correctly?

Microsoft has your paypal account email address blocked for possibly sending spam. Google 550 5.1.8 Access denied, bad outbound sender for possible solutions from Microsoft

not sure as the emails are coming from paypal direct not from us !!!

Try using the web/outlook client directly and test with ** ebay@domain.org.uk to send out an email to see what exactly office 365 is complaining about.

Sorry, as I said the problem is not outbound, they are being blocked coming inbound from paypal !!!

Yes, I understood the problem. I guess I was just thinking out loud because the log that you posted was pointing to an outbound problem[:)]. In any case, you can set up exceptions for paypal.com in UTM under smtp exceptions. An actual log of the block would have helped narrow the reason for the bounce as paypal shouldn't bounce under normal circumstances.
