Attachments in SPX Encryption

Hi all, we have a problem in SPX Encryption; wen we send an encrypted email with attachments (PDF, DOCX or others), the receiver read correctly the encrypted email as a PDF password-protected, but no attachment is displayed.

We have UTM 9.408-4 version.

Is there a solution? Or an option to enable through UTM?

  • Hi, Marco, and welcome to the UTM Community!

    This should just work.  Try restoring a backup from before you applied the last group of Up2Dates.  If that doesn't help, then you need fresh eyes on the problem - Sophos Support.

  • Hi Bob, thanks for your reply.

    For us restoring a backup is not a solution because we're not sure if last backup works fine with other services; the appliance is in stack and on production, and we cannot restore old FW or Backup.

    Any other suggestion?

  • Marco, restoring a configuration backup does not require any disruption of service.When you select 'Management' in WebAdmin, you can see what changes were made after a backup.

    We're not sure when the encryption of the attachments ended to work, then the older backup we have is 1 month ago.

    Trying to reinstall last firmware may resolve?

  • I'm sure that re-installing would work, but that deletes log files, reporting and graphs.  If restoring doesn't resolve the issue, then restore the last backup and then do a re-install when you can organize an outage.
