Firmware 9.408-4 has a Bug with Recipient Verification

Firmware 9.408-4 has a Bug with Recipient Verification (Active Directory).

Definitions & Users/ Authentication Services/ Servers/ The configured Authentication Server has a Password And: The configured password is not more saved.

You can save it again, but it is still not saved.

Result: Mails no longer arrive when the Active Directory check is activated!

  • what i see is 

    in Definitions & Users/ Authentication Services/ Servers/ 

    if i click on the test server settings, i get password wrong error, even though i know the password is correct, if i paste the password again new, i still get password error.

    however if i go to the advanced tab and do a sync /prefetch it works.

    also if i test the email , recipient verification still works as expected 

    so it would like like being able to update the stored credential is whats wrong ?

    I have the same problem and have a case opened with Sophos still waiting for their reply.

    this is exactly the probelm.
    another Person has opened a Support case (Sophos). I have been following the case with great interest ;)

    If i do the same as you, go to the advanced tab and do a sync /prefetch, it does not work.

    I chose two users:
    @ 1X User which is defined under Definitions & Users/ Authentication Services/ Authentication Server
    @ 1x User for which i will send to a E-Mail recipient, in other words, my Active Directory Users which have a E-Mailadress.

    The test was, i had send a Mail from my Business E-Mail to my private E-Mail (Active Directory User on my Server) with enabled recipient verification under SMTP/ Routing/ Recipient Verfication/ verfiy recipients with Active Directory And: received the following error:

    In other words, i can only receive E-Mails on my private E-Mailadresse, if i enable verfiy recipient: with callout!
