how to reject all mails for specific addresses/users?

Is there any way to reject all mails to a specific address (or UTM user)?

When we put '*@*' into the users blacklist, the mails are quartantined instead of rejected.

  • Michael, is this a situation where you have an internal user like a consultant that should be able to communicate with others inside your business but for whom you don't want to receive emails from outside?  I know that you can block external emails for an Exchange mailbox - in fact there are two methods.

What I don't know is if either method causes the SMTP Proxy to reject such messages or if they are sent to Exchange and then rejected there.  If your mail server has this capability, please let us know what you discover about message handling.

In any case, I would have expected the system to reject instead of quarantine, but we don't know your configuration.  Please insert a picture of the settings above 'Sender Blacklist' on the 'Antispam' tab.

You could prevent the user from accessing the User Portal and from receiving a Quarantine Report from the Proxy.

    Cheers - Bob
