User Portal Pop3 Quarantine

We have the following issue regarding quaratined pop3 messages.

Heres´s owr scenario:

- ISP - UTM - Exchange Server 2010

Our Exchange server uses a pop3 conector (Microsoft) to conect to our ISP and downloading all messages and then places the mail in the users mailboxes. All quarantined mails are well processed by utm that places the mail in quarantine. And in the Admin web interface open mail manager i can sees all messages. But the users can't in their user portal. The user add a pop3 account and the user name and password thas is used in ISP (not the Active directory credentials) but no success... What can be wrog?

I know that isn't the cliente app (in this case Outlook) tha has a pop3 account configured, it only connects to Exchange Server to retrieve messages.

  • Hi, Jorge, and welcome to the UTM Community!

Before we dig into solving this problem, may I ask some questions to be sure we don't want to take a different approach?

    1. Why are you having your arriving email go to your ISP first?
    2. For outbound mail, are you using your ISP as a smart host?
    3. Is this the first UTM you have configured?
    4. Did you have help from an experienced UTM installer/engineer/architect?

    Cheers - Bob
