mail encryption remote mail servers

hi all

i was going through the sophos utm documentation and we wanted to implement the spx encryption. the problem is we use pop to receive emails and smtp to send. our email server is at our ISP.

process for sending email

client--> firewall-->isp email server---> recipient

is there a way to use spx to to encrypt the email?

  • The ISP shouldn't charge anymore if they have the capability.  Yes, instead of your current MX record pointing at the FQDN of your mail server it should point at an FQDN that resolves to your UTM.  See the guide stickied at the top of this forum.
