Interpretation of Email Protection Usage Graphs

Hi there!
I'm trying to understand the "E-Mail Protection Statistics Graph".
Have a look at the attached pictures. There are over 600 blocked spam mails, but the statistics only shows 58 total processed mails?
Can somebody explain?

    The graph shows the number of emails in 48-minute (I think) windows.  Look at the Averages.  You had one period on 8/21 where 58 spams were blocked.
