disable ipv6 for smtp

is it possible to disable ipv6 for just SMPT when using the sophos as an smtp gateway?

background: using ipv6 for vpn and some other stuff but now we got a mailserver that couldn't find a rDNS for our IPv6 adress.

Rather than setting that up i want to disable ipv6 completly for any mail traffic.

  • Afaik that's not possible. Either you use IPv6 or you don't.

Why not simply setting the PTR record?
