Spool retention duration

Hello everybody,

I plan to implement email protection in my company. In my testing environment, I have my UTM which delivers mails to an Exchange 2010 sever.

Correct me if I'm wrong but if my Exchange 2010 is down, the mails are keep on the UTM in the SMTP spool, am I right?

How long do these mails stay in the SMTP Spool? Is there a precise duration? Is it possible to modify the retention?

I would like to keep the mails as long as possible...

It will keep trying at set intervals to send the mails for 72 hours and cannot be modified from WebAdmin.

It will keep trying at set intervals to send the mails for 72 hours and cannot be modified from WebAdmin.
