UTM 9.2 email domain whitelisting

Hi guys,

if one IP address hosting multiple domain and if i whitelisting that ip,  would the Sophos utm whitelist other domain hosted on that IP as well?[:S]

Thanks!

  • Are you talking about the user whitelists or whitelisting by exception rules?

If the user whitelists, these will only work for domains or email addresses, not IP.
Users can either enter valid email addresses (e.g., jdoe@example.com) or all email addresses of a specific domain using an asterisk as wildcard (e.g., *@example.com)

If by exception rules set using host/network, then it would affect all domains from that IP.  If you don't want this, set the exceptions by address/domain.  See the built-in help for examples.
