Enforce SSL

Hi!

Is it possible to enforce encrypted authentication for SMTP? Our users use Sophos UTM 9.305-4 to send E-Mails via SMTP - and we don't want them to be able to use plaintext authentication.

Thanks, Mike

  • Mike why do you want to use UTM authentication to originate emails from your clients? Do you have an internal Exchange or Active Directory server?

    Cheers - Bob

  • Maybe(!) you can do this via "E-Mail Protection - SMTP - Advanced" under "TLS-Settings" i think...

All Hosts (or domains) listet here will be forced to use tls-encryption (auth.).

I can't try this for now, sorry.
