UTM 9.304-9 - Antispam - wildcard expressions in blacklist

After upgrading to 9.304-9 I noticed that wildcard expressions for email adresses in the antispam blacklist are interpreted a bit different than before:

*@*domain.com does NOT match anymore for xyz@domain.com

I was using the expression *@*domain.com for all eMails from a single domain including subdomains. Maybe * does not match for empty strings anymore (which is wrong in my eyes).

Did someone else notice this?

  • Alexander, all of the mcsv.net servers are MailChimp, a reputable emailing service that doesn't send spam.  I use MailChimp for several organizations.  All MailChimp mailing lists are opt-in except entries submitted by the mail list owner.  All emails from MailChimp include an unsubscribe link.  If you believe that a list owner is spamming you in spite of your request to unsubscribe, you should send a complaint to abuse(at)mailchimp.com.
