I have an internal Exchange 2010 server, behind a newly installed UTM. My DNS records have a public IP address configured for my Exchange server (an A record and an MX record).
until purchasing the UTM, we had a Sophos Email ES1100 appliance, which we setup with another MX record (with lower priority) and A record. All email would therefore go through the Email appliance and was then passed on to the Exchange Server
This setup has served us well but what is best practice for the UTM? How should I configure my DNS in this scenario?
