email all caught as spam after last night's def update

It appears that 99% of our incoming emails are caught as "Unscannable (Encrypted archive" after last night's definition update. They are all legit email from people who we deal with on a daily basis.

This has caused a headache for us this morning with everyone calling because they weren't getting emails they were expecting.

Anyone else had the same issue? We've lodged a case with sophos and currently waiting for a reply.

  • Interesting.  I have not seen this at either site A manage where the SMTP Proxy is running on 9.2 as those two are the only ones I've allowed to go to 9.203.  Both sites use Avira single-scan and don't have 'Quarantine unscannable and encrypted content' selected.
