SPX on google apps?

I just got 9.2 up and working and would like try out some the SPX features like auto encryption. 

We currently use are using Google apps for email, and some users have sync'd this with Outlook via the Google sync app. https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gappssync

With E-mail between outlook and Gmail is done over ssl/tls, is there any way to take advantage of the auto encrypt functionality, or must it be done by the user with the plug in?

    There are two ways to specify encryption.

    1)  Use of the plug-in, which adds a header (X-Sophos-SPX-Encrypt = yes) to an email which the UTM detects to encrypt.
    2)  In the Data Protection feature, you can specify to automatically SPX encrypt emails containing
    sensitive data (see SMTP > Data Protection tab).

    Ok, but the email is encrypted on the user end to Google inside out outlook, how does the UTM read the header?

    In my opinion, if a mail is not going through you UTM you cannot use SPX because that X-Header will be ignored on Gmail servers.

    I have tested SPX in Exchange OWA/Outlook Anywhere environments, but in all of that scenarios, the email was flowing from the Internet to the LAN (Exchange server) and then back to Internet (this time through UTM).

    Someone...correct me if I am wrong...[:)]
