[UTM 9.2] SPX Recipient Passwords

With SPX configured to generate and store the encryption password for the recipient, we are supposed to find some way to securely transmit this password to the recipient.

What are the method(s) you all are using?

  • Check the feature.astaro.com site; there is a feature request in there for them to implement a full-featured end user portal for SPX as it exists in the "classic" Sophos Email Appliance ... currently it's sort of inefficient to use SPX on the UTM as when an end user (recipient) forgets a password, an admin has to reset the thing in Webadmin... they should be able (as an option) to self-reset the password.  We have been using SMS (texting) to send the password out-of-band, but I suppose you could talk on the phone or send via fax... but that takes a lot of time.
