Cannot receive external Mail with Dual Scan activated

Hello everyone,

I have a UTM 220 with Firmware Version 9.109-1.
This unit was installed in April of 2013.  I have had no problems with it until about three weeks ago.
As indicated in the title of the thread, external e-mails stopped coming to our inboxes.  Since the installation, "Reject Malware during SMTP transaction" has been checked and "Dual Scan" has been selected on the Antivirus tab of the SMTP settings.
Once mail stopped flowing in, I checked the SMTP Live Log and I can see when something comes from an external source, but then I have no idea what happens to the mail (partly because I don't know what should come next in the log and partly because I haven't played much with the UTM because it just works).
In the end, I turned off "Reject Malware during SMTP transaction" and I changed the Virus Scanning from Dual Scan to Single Scan and immediately all the mails started flowing to the Exchange Server.

Just now I have changed the scanning back to Dual Scan and, as assumed, mail traffic halts.

Anyone have any ideas what could be wrong here?
