SMTP for IMAP mail accounts

Hello

I don't have internal mail servers. All my mail accounts are IMAP mailboxes (e.g. Gmail). Can I use the SMTP of the UTM to scan such outgoing messages for spam and viruses?

No. Gmail uses SPF records that prevent most anti-spam devices from accepting emails not originating from their IPs. If you have your own domain with email hosted externally, you can use wingman's prescription: https://community.sophos.com/products/unified-threat-management/astaroorg/f/56/t/49267.
