[9.105-9] smarhost bug

Hi All

It seems that if you have smarthost configured under smtp settings and you disable the smtp funtionality, UTM will keep trying to send email using the smarthost.

Steps to reproduce:
1) Enable smtp and configure smarthost
2) Disable SMTP without disabling smarthost though
3)Try to enter webadmin with invalid password (in order for UTM to send email out regarding failed webadmin-assuming notifications are enabled for this event)

Thanks

  • From experience, I know that the following occurs even when not using a smart host:
    • Enable and configure the SMTP Proxy so that Notifications are delivered.
    • Without deleting the configuration, disable the Proxy - Notifications will no longer be sent.
    • Enable the Proxy, delete the configuration and disable the Proxy - Notifications are delivered.
