Mail Manager Malfunction after v9.1 Update

Good morning!

We have an ASG120 with Firmwareversion 9.100-16

We did the Update to 9.1 last week. Since that day, my User, who want's to Login by UserPortal and go to MailManager, the operation failed and the new window is shown with Errors.

Also re-login, restart Workstation or restart browser does not fix the Problem.

Workstation with Windows XP SP3, IE 9

I did install the Firefox for a workarround and it works. But still as "Workarround"

Any resolutions?

many thx!

  • additional the failure:

Perl runtime error calling qm::smtp_quarantine: Can't user string("0") as a HASH ref while "strict refs" in use at /qm/qm.pm line 517
  • Hi, Felix and welcome to the User BB!

Since this works with Firefox, try opening one IE9 window, deleting temporary files, closing the window, and then opening a new one and trying the User Portal again.

    Any luck?

    Cheers - Bob

  • Hi
Also with Mozilla Firefox (v.20) the failure is still there.
Time by time, the window with Mail Manager starts correct - may after 5'th try.
My PC has Win XP - so no IE 9 Support! just for Vista and 7.

    so please help me!

    regards - Felix9
  • update:
Testing with new PC / Win 7 all Updates / IE9 or Firefox 21

  • There is a mistake during my definition on entry #1

The PC is Win XP SP3 and IE8!  not 9.
as i wrote, IE9 doesn't Support Win XP.
  • I'm not seeing this at my customer sites, so I don't know how to help you.  You should contact Sophos Support.

  • The Backend user has only Mail-Manager rights. If we upgrade the user with mail-security-auditor rights, everything works fine.
  • Felix, I think the answer from derzeitlose should work when the user logs into WebAdmin to access the Mail Manager.

I was confused because you mentioned the User Portal, so I thought you were talking about the SMTP tabs in the End User Portal.
