Emails are skipping from Astaro antispam

Hi all,

Some emails are skipping from Astaro V8 Home edition antispam and are going straight to Exchange 2010 e-mail account. I don’t see them in SMTP log.

Any idea how to solve the problem?

Thanks!

  • Internal emails do not transit the Astaro.  If that didn't answer your question, then please show a header from an email that skipped.  Be sure to obfuscate your IPs like 209.X.Y.123 and 192.168.Z.11.

  • I was looking at the email’s header and I saw that the emails from outside do not transit Astaro.
It was a NAT rule created before and after I deleted it the problem was solved.
Thank you very much for your answer!
  • Bob should reconsider "transparent proxy" [:)]
  • Doncoio, a basic rule for traffic arriving at an interface is that it is handled only once: DNATs are considered before Proxies and VPNs which are considered before manual routes and Firewall rules.

Olsi, the reason I don't like it is that it means that any infected device can join a BOTnet and get your IP blacklisted.

  • I am having a very similar problem, I've setup the smtp proxy and all works fine except that most of the spam is somehow bypassing the smtp proxy but all legitimate remote emails gets routed through the proxy.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks
