How to change DNS settings on internal NIC

Hi There,

I am quiet new to UTM (came from Forefront TMG!) I have had UTM running perfectly for almost a year, and is at the latest build (Up2Date)

I now need to change the two DNS IP addresses that I entered during the UTM installation, because we have two new DNS servers (with different IP addresses)

We don't use UTM for any DNS functions other than a firewall rule; our new Domain Controllers host DNS.

I just want to change the UTM DNS entries that I originally entered, so UTM itself is pointing to our two new internal DNS servers, and can therefore resolve IP addresses.

I can't seem to find the setting in the UTM Web Administration that tells it what DNS servers to use.

Hope this makes sense.

Regards Stephen

  • Thanks darrellr,

Yes, it seems like I didn't entre any DNS server details during installation. UTM just uses 'Forwarders' to resolve Internet IP Addresses.

I've put the IP Addresses of our two new DNS servers in the 'DNS Forwarders' option in Network Services -> DNS -> Forwarders
