Aborted Install / K-Ubuntntu 17.10

Hi, I'm trying to install SAV-Linux-Free-9 on a Kubuntu - Ubuntu 17.10 system. Each time the install process seems to work then it's aborted with these message:

"Installation completed.
Installation aborted.
global name 'sys' is not defined"

I believe I'm installing this correctly but I have one concern which is the request for a user name. In the registration and account process before downloading the software I have never been asked for this. During the install I have made a U/n up at random in relation to updates.

Does anybody have a solution?

Anthony B

    1. You shouldn't get asked for update credentials if you select "free" from an earlier question. The installer automatically downloads free credentials.
    2. If you add --debug to the command-line arguments to the installer it should produce a traceback of the exception, which will make it easier to see where the problem is.
