High CPU

Good morning!

 

Our Sec. Gateway 425 is continually running at 95-100% CPU which basically shuts our school down.  I worked with support last week and they had me change some reporting and then see if that helped.  All teachers/students were back today and it has not helped.  Usually it is the httpproxy or postgres that is running high when I do "top" in putty.  Any other people having this?

    Hi, Donnie, and welcome to the UTM Community!

    First, you'll want to increase the SWAP setting.  As root at the command line:

    cc set settings extra_swap 1

    If you aren't already on 9.506, Up2date to that and let us know if that fixed your problem.

    PS If you're in North America you should open a case with Sophos Support if the Up2Date doesn't resolve this.
    PPS The UTM 425 is end-of-life on 6/30 next year and no subscription extensions are available for it any more.
