Can I have an SG230 and SG230 Rev2 in a high availability set?

We currently have an SG230 that is coming to the end of its license period. We would like to purchase a new SG230 Rev2 and use the older SG230 as a slave in a high availability set. Can the two be 'commingled'?

Yes, you can mix different revisions from same device type.

But i would not suggest this.

Thanks for your response! Can I inquire why you wouldn't suggest this? I am hoping to not have to spend $2k on an additional device, so hoping for a compelling reason either way.
