How long should it take at Uplink Balancing for the standby interface to go offline after the active interface went online again?

Hi, we tested Uplink Balancing by unplug the active interface. After that the standby interface came up after a short time. So everything seems to run fine. As we reconnected the active interface, it showed up, but the standby interface stayed up and the traffic went over that. After about 5 minutes we unplugged the standby interface and the connection went back to the active interface.

So how long should it take at Uplink Balancing for the standby interface to go offline after the active interface went online again?

I can't find that information elsewhere.

Thank you.

Kind regards

Ralf

  • Hi Ralf,

You can set the persistence by clicking on the wrench beside 'Active Interfaces'.

  • Hi Bob,

thank you for your answer. The persistence is set to one minute, but after 5 minutes the Standby channel still is active and the traffic still does not use the active interface.

For switching back to "normal" mode we have to remove the cable from the standby-device.

    What may be wrong?

    Thank you in advance.

    Kind regards
