CLI was not enabled, Webadmin is down show "internal server error"....Hard reboot didn't worked...

Hi Friends,

Our webadmin is showing "internal server error". CLI is disabled. reboot didn't worked.

Possible causes of error:

Same error appeared on our another sophos, but on that CLI was enabled and while checking I found root partition was totally utilized. It was because automatic downloads(firmware updates) was ON. and concerned files were using "root" directory. I moved sys folder at location "var/up2date/sys" to "var/storage" ,and by doing that root partition got empty and webadmin was recoverd. later I disabled automatic downloads.

But in this case since CLI is disabled , what options are there to recover webadmin?

Since it is production environment we are very concerned...Please help me...

This is XG forum, you probably should have posted in the UTM forum. In any case, you shouldn't be moving folders around. If you have just recently updated to 9.410, there are known issues with /tmp and storage partitions filling up due to cssd crashing. I know you said CLI /ssh is disabled, you will have to physically go the box and run commands, there is no other way.

If I were you, I would re-image my appliance with 9.409 and restore a backup. If that is not possible, remove the contents of /var/storage/cores (rm *) and then move the /var/storage/sys folder back to the original location. Then clear out the /tmp folder with duplicate AV-malware-names* . Try restarting webadmin with /etc/init.d/httpd restart and you should be good to go till the partitions fill back up[:'(]
