LACP trunk issues

Hey guys,

I´ve seen some quite strange behaviour with my 2-node SG330 cluster.

It is connected with a 2x1GBit LACP trunk to my core (HPE 5900AF) and working without any issues for months......until one of the 2 links for whatever reason goes down and then up again.

I still have all interfaces running as LACP manages this fault tolerant. The issue comes when the interface comes up again, it shows "online" from both sides, but suddenly I have packet loss on this LACP trunk of around 20% and response times from 50-300ms.

I only manage to fix this by rebooting the active node of my cluster, with the second node everythings working then.

Any idea what I could do there?

Thanks in advance

M.

  • Hi Bob,

so far I have the interfaces on Auto as they successfully negotiate 1000-Full, although I didn´t check if that was still the case when the error is there. Could be a good hint though.

When I have it the next time I´ll try to figure our if I can "heal" with with fixing the settings.

    Thanks for your help,

    Matthias
