I decided that my old Astaro8 firewall has got a bit long in the tooth and an upgrade to UTM9, with the integrated WiFi would be worthwhile.
Since I have only a small home network, unlikely to see more than 3 simultaneous users, I decided that a Jetaway JBC320W should do the job.
I have downloaded asg-9.408-4.1.iso and used UNetbootin to create a bootable USB drive.
After failing to install (failed to find install.tar), I also looked at the Install Log and saw that the Realtek WiFi module was ignored during hardware detection:- "Ignored because it lacks a name (buggy hw?)"
So I have replaced it with an Intel device.
After reading the threads on 'successful USB installation' I followed the suggestions and made an attempt with the updated hardware. The installation failed again.
There are two problems:-
(Intel WiFi Link 1000 Series 1000BGN) ignored because it lacks a name (buggy hw?) : Same as the Realtek
system: tar pxf /install/install/install.tar -C /dest
tar: invalid tar magic
system: returned with exit status 1
ERROR: There was an error creating the base environment
Can anybody suggest solutions? I would really like to have the WiFi integrated into the UTM.
