Update all devices to specific firmware revision via the SUM

I'm hoping this is an easy question - I'm still learning about what can and can't be centrally managed from the SUM vs the devices themselves.

In the SUM dashboard, I can right-click on one of our devices and choose to install firmware updates, but that updates to the absolute latest revision - is there a way I can tell it to install only up to a specific revision?

Same question across the board - can I force all devices to update to a specific (non-current) revision?

Similarly, is there a way to disable automatic downloading / prefetching of updates across multiple devices?  I know how to disable it on each device, but not how to do it from the SUM.

Thanks!

  • Hey TG1.

AFAIK, none of this is possible, through SUM or otherwise. I guess when SUM was conceived, no one would imagine that there would be so much borked updates flying around and that people would be forced to pick and choose which version was safe or not. At least, IMHO, the latest updates seem to be far more reliable than the nightmare that was 9.3. Still, give it a week or so before applying new updates and check this forum regularly!
