Up2Date 9.402 Soft-Release Network problems

Today I successfully upgraded my home firewall (Dell Optiplex 780). But after a few hours I found a problem. My internal network card Intel 82657 LM-3 suddenly stop working. After force restart I found some interesting lines in system log. It seems like ntpd have some issues with that ethernet card. Force restart solves the problem for about 3 hours, then its start all over again. I temporary changed my internal network card with intel 82544EI.

  • that the network time daemon that's gone mad, should not have any affect on the actual network card.
  • There is something wrong with drivers or HW (ethernet card). After I replaced my internal network in network interfaces (from eth0 to eth1, eth1 is different network card, eth0 is onboard network card) everything seems to be ok. There are no error lines in kernel log anymore.

It seems that my problem is known issue in Linux http://serverfault.com/questions/616485/e1000e-reset-adapter-unexpectedly-detected-hardware-unit-hang

Kernel log has these strange lines (with eth0):
