LTE USB modem device for SG135

Hi, i have to buy several LT USB Modem devices for SG135 but still not sure about the compatibility.I plan actually the Huawei E3372 Stick but if there is a official list with compatible devices it would be helpfull. The official hardware list i found is not helping me out or i am blind.

Anyone can help ?

  • ... took me a while to actually try it; conclusion: they work.

    unfortunately not without some quirks:

1st off it might be needed to edit the usb_modeswitch configuration; i'm using the utm as kvm appliance, and thus pass through the devices from the host, where they are already set to ethernet mode. in theory it should also be possible to switch them to serial mode, so that the utm can handle dial in - but i haven't tried that.

another problem is that the sticks for some reason have identical(!) mac adresses in cdc_ethernet mode, and this causes udev to not properly name them (only the first interface is named like "eth*", the others are called "renamed*") - this can be resolved by adding an udev rule to rename the additional interfaces back to the "eth*" format, making them finally available in the webadmin interface. at least this isn't a problem if only a single lte stick is used...
