license expires

Hello experts,

I am new to this Forum and have a question. I am using Sophos UTM9 (free, Home use). Approx. two years ago, I bought 2 Sophos Accesspoints. I am very satisfied with the System and it works perfekt for me. 
A view days ago, I got the message "Wireless protection will expire in 5  days". 
Does this have any effect to my wireless Network, when wireless protection expires? Do I need to buy a seperate license to operate the Access Points with my home use license?

  • Yes, you won't be able to use your APs anymore with an expired license.  The individual sections in a Home Use License do have an expiration time (3 years I believe).  Chances are that all of the features in the home license are about to expire.  Go to Management > Licensing > Overview, scroll down and look at the expiration dates for all of the individual features.  If they are expiring, then you'll need a new license.  Go to https://myutm.sophos.com/ and login.  Scroll down, choose View Licenses.  Scroll down to the Home Use License section and click on your license.  Here on the license details page (where you can also see all of the expiration dates), Scroll down and delete the license.  Now back on the View Licenses page, there will be a button under Home Use License to create a new license.

    Really appreciate this guidance Scott - I use the UTM 9 for home purposes as well as it being deployed in our corporate environment. Whilst I appreciate expectations on "home use" support should be realistic, I have been struggling to work out the "home use" renewal process for some time. I contacted the NSG licensing team...and got the following limited and ambiguous response:

    "Hello,

    The Home license is valid for 3 years and cannot be renewed.

    Please download a home use license again and kindly reinstall.
