Hello everyone,
I finally got around to building the NUC UTM with the Mini PCIe module from Jetaway. I was successfully able to get the UTM working without the use of VMware or any other virtualization.
The biggest issue that I am running into is that case for the BOXD54250WYKH1 does not really have any expansion space to insert the Jetway 2x 10/100/1000 Lan Mini PCIe Module into the existing case.
I will post pictures of the issue when I get an opportunity.
I found this from intel listing other NUC case vendors https://www-ssl.intel.com/content/dam/www/public/us/en/documents/technical-specifications/nuc-ecosystem-enabling-technical-spec.pdf Does anyone else know of any other chassis or cases that might work? I thought I would ask on the forum before attempting to 3D print something.
I had really hoped that I would have been able to use the existing case and just cut out a space for the LAN module, but due the way the case is constructed, it is not possible to do so, without removing the 2.5" drive. My current setup technically works as it, but I really don't like the look or the risks involved in completely leaving the nuc exposed and open as is.
