Expired license - time definition

I have an utm appliance that I want to use to segregate part of my internal network. The problem I have discovered is that with the license being expired I cannot create / edit time definitions. I don’t understand why as time definition is not listed in any of the license required sections. Any advice or info welcome.

  • Hello,

you want to use a commercial appliance without a valid license and you really wonder, that this is somewhat restricted or complicated? Please think about this again.

  • It is only going to be used in our internal network, and exposed to the outside world. It seems a waste to just leave it on the shelf gathering dust.  All I need to do is have a few rules that are governed by time.

  • I understand that, but it's up to Sophos to define the rules with their license model.

You could use a virtual machine with a basic license for that purpose.
