ISP Router --------Edegrouter ------------Switch and APs

I am trying to figure out where to place the UTM to get the best results and can manage them from within the network, I am wanting to catch Wifi and switch , but don't want the UTM to take over DHCP  , any ideas would be appreciated

Thank you

  • Hi and welcome to the UTM Community!

Is this a home setup?  Assuming so, it's not as important as in a work environment, but I would configure the ISP's router to be in bridge mode so that the UTM has a public IP on its WAN interface.

UTM's Wireless Protection only manages Sophos WiFi APs.  The Hotspot capability works with any interface.

Once you have the UTM configured, it can replace your EdgeRouter.
