Updated home license, now locked out

About a week ago I got a message that my home license was to expire in a couple weeks, so I went to the portal and generated a new one.  I noticed that the license filename did not look like the previous one, but thought it was just a change on the back-end.  Upon loading my license, web protection and network protection suddenly greyed out, and it said I was entitled to unlimited IPs.  I thought it strange, but I didn't have time to deal with it so I left it alone.   I came back in the evening to look into it and found that I am completely locked out of the firewall.  It will not accept domain or local account logins.  Is there a way to save the situation, or am I stuck rebuilding the system?  I do have automatic backups enabled, but I have not downloaded a backup file in some time, so the most recent ones are on the firewall itself.

  • I just wanted to close the loop on this one since I was finally in a position to tackle this as I wanted to be able to set aside time for a total rebuild should the process not work. Using the above steps to reset the password, delete my license and generate a new one worked flawlessly.  It took some time to log in with my domain credentials after installing the license, but I suspect that was due to it needing to sync, since it only happened the first time.  Thanks everyone for all the help.
