Sophos IPSec Client 12.10 installation issues in Windows 10 Pro (1809)

With the recent release of Sophos IPSec Client v12.10, there are multiple workstations where the install proceeds until installing/updating network device drivers, then the client install rolls-back making no changes to the system. These systems are out of the box Dell laptops and Microsoft Surface hardware. The Error 1603 is logged in the Application Log.

Where should I begin looking since the Sophos engineer has ceased to assist in this case?

  • That sounds like a Dell-configured Win-10 issue.  Let us know if you have any luck in the Dell or Win-10 forums.

  • This is an Optiplex 7010 with Windows 10 Pro, Sophos Endpoint Adv+Intercept-X.. "Dell" software has been uninstalled. When installing SIC 12.10, I reaches:

The installation rolls back and the following is displayed:

SIC v11 seems to work but, the download is no longer available.
