How Home Edition count its license if I don't use UTM's DHCP

As i wrote in title, I have a question if I use other DHCP(i.e. wireless router), how UTM count its license.

Of course I'm using UTM Home Edition in UTM 120 rev.5 and I'm in testing yet.

I'm under consideration to use wireless router's DHCP instead of UTM's one.(cause its convenience)

The wireless router(ASUS ACRH13) will be place under UTM, of course. Thus my network will be composed following :

(Internet) - [UTM] - [ASUS router] - [Terminals]

Sincerely,

  • I don't think it considers MAC addresses.  All it counts is the number of internal IPs it sees.  This is why you can blow past 50 IPs just by scanning your internal subnet.  Like Doug says, it remembers IPs for 7 days.
