Hello,
Hello,
We bought 2 new Lenovo SR630 servers to replace the old IBM hardware base for Sophos UTM 9.5.
But we cannot even install from ISO:
- no harddisk is found
- no NIC is found
RAID-controller is Lenovo 930-8i, it is an Broadcom MegaRAID 9460 based chip
Ethernet (1 GB and 10 GB) is built-in X710 an risercard X722
All these chipsets are supported by SLES 11 and SLES 12 - during boot sequence of the Sophos-Installer these chips are recognized and named correctly as we can see in the console (dmesg) - but the installer cannot find them.
Even using UTM 9.6 Beta 1 (9.570) does not the trick.
Still an "lspci" is listing all the devices needed and names them correctly -
"detecting disks" during setup startup shows "LSI logic / Symbios logic RAID bus controller" - but the field after "Drivers" is empty and no disks are found.
Opened a case with sophos last week - no reply at all so far.
2 years ago we already had this:
The Intel Lewisburg chipset is not really exotic anymore, isn´t it?
So any ideas how to get installed UTM 9.x on these servers without the need of buying really old and expensive riser-cards?
Edit:
created a install-zipfile.
hwinfo_network contains no x710 or x722, but
hwinfo_storage contains a LSI - but no disk:
