Running lcm-162 at startup/config

Hi,

I recently installed UTM9 on a Watchguard XTM 5 series and posted a howto if anyone's interested (https://community.sophos.com/products/unified-threat-management/f/hardware-installation-up2date-licensing/108244/howto-utm9-home-on-a-watchguard-xtm5-series)

One of the minor gripes is that as a result of the process that needs to be followed, the LCD always shows "pfsense 1.82" (or whatever), however I've found that lcm-162 works out of the box and displays the UTM version along with the time.  Not that useful although the keys do scroll through the menu options which is quite handy for a reboot.  The IP address displayed for eth0 is wrong as well and I'd like to configure it to show something more useful like CPU  and RAM % as the default display.

I have a couple of questions;

  • How can I get this to load on startup?
  • Is the lcd.conf file documented anywhere and is it useful for achieving what I want?

TIA

D
