Root Partition Filling up 95%

i have read most of the posts on here regarding the similar issues, i have tracked down the issue to the a folder in /var/storage called cores this folder has a size of 18GB come of the files are dated in the last few days so im not sure if it is safe to delete them.

    /var/storage/cores contains only core dumps.  First let's take a look to see how recent these are, Chris, and whether or not you should get Sophos Support involved.  What do you get from ll /var/storage/cores ?
