Unable to boot from CD image

I recently download the UTM home edition and been unable to install the software.  I have tried writing the image on multiple machine with different brands of DVD using different software.  I have even tried booting the CD on multiple computers, but the image is not recognized as being bootable.  What am I missing?

    The image I used was ssi-9.506-2.1.  I set the bios to boot from CD/DVD first on several different machines and none of them recognized the disc as bootable.  I also tried creating the image using different machines...same problem.  They just will not boot to the CD/DVD.  I created another bootable DVD from an image that I know is bootable and it worked fine.

    The ssi image is the one used with Sophos hardware appliances - it will not work for you.  Go back to the download and get the software version.

    That would explain the issue...I was using the link that Sophos sent me.
