SSH user login, Add user to ssh PROBLESMS!

how do I allow user to use ssh, I setup a user, but I can't get them is login and the password is right, and ssh is turn on and any for allowed host, Help Me please, and thanks

login as: root
Sent username "root"
root@192.168.1.2's password:
Access denied
root@192.168.1.2's password:

login as: jason
Sent username "jason"
jason@192.168.1.2's password:
Access denied

    That's the way it works now. I was just hoping that someone could help out with a way to add an SSH allowed user and change their home directory.

    I havn't tried v5 yet, but the in earlier versions you had to manually edit the passwd and shadow files in /etc/
