In Network Services -> DNS I have the Global Allowed Networks empty because the note beside it says "...If you realy run an internal DNS server (for example as part of Active Directory), you should leave this setting empty."
The DNS Forwarders I have setup with OpenDNS and the "Use forwards assigned by IPS" not checked because the Currently assigned forwarders are set to 'none'. I have tried as an experiment to enable it but the end result was the same.
Request Routing is setup with my domain and its two DNS servers.
And Static Entries and DynDNS are empty.
The Time and Date must is setup to use the sophos time servers which test out ok when I click the "test configured servers". And the Date and Time are showing correctly in the webgui.
Also the SMTP proxy services are disabled and have been for some time in our Sophos.
Questions:
1. why does the SMTP Proxy continue to run? This is what I see in the logs.

2. when I hit clear cache in my system messages I see this. I am not sure why the Sophos reports their is a problem ith the time? Also I see DNS Server failed to contact which I don't know where or why that's appearing!?
